Des Moines Ikes Update: Visitation and Funeral Mass for Joseph Raymond (Joe) Gavin July 22 & 23 in St. Marys, Iowa

Meetings are held every Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner is served until 6:30 p.m., with programs starting at 6:45 p.m. There are lots of great programs and delicious meals coming up on Tuesdays at the Chapter House! Check out our Menus and Programs page to find out more!

The Des Moines Ikes Annual Sweet Corn Feed is back Tuesday, July 30, 2024! ENJOY ALL THE DELICIOUS IOWA SWEET CORN YOU CAN EAT at the Des Moines Ikes clubhouse 4343 George Flagg Pkwy, Des Moines 50321 (Park Avenue and George Flagg Pkwy, across from Jethro’s BBQ Southside) We’ll be serving from 4 to 7pm! Admission is just $12 for Adults and $6 for kids 10 and under! Admission includes these Additional Tasty Menu Items: Bratwurst; Potato Salad; Watermelon; Ice Tea, Lemonade or Coffee (Extra Menu Items May Be Purchased). EVERYONE INVITED and EVERYONE WELCOME! Dine inside our air-conditioned Chapterhouse! THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE!

• Saturday, September 28, 2024: Des Moines Izaak Walton League Iowa Outdoor Expo! This year it will be held on the Ikes grounds with free admission, parking and lots of fun activities for kids! Volunteers are needed and there will be a sign up sheet at the ticket counter.
• October 1, 2024: Bees, bees, bees! Andy Joseph, State Apiarist with The Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship.
